Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] ("KINDS", "we") for using the KINDS website and iPhone app. By using KINDS, you accept them.
The service
KINDS reads the music library you connect, suggests playlists, generates artwork from your library, and saves playlists you approve to your music service. You need your own Apple Music account (and, for saving playlists, an active Apple Music subscription). KINDS is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or Spotify.
KINDS Pro subscriptions
- KINDS Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. The price and billing period are shown before you buy.
- On iPhone, payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- On the web, subscriptions are billed by our payment provider and can be cancelled anytime from the link in your receipt. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. For web purchases, contact us.
For purchases through the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.
Your content and the art
Your music library and the songs in it belong to you and their rights holders. You may use the covers and posters KINDS generates for you for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing them on social media. Song and artist names shown on posters belong to their respective owners.
Public playlists and curator profiles
When you publish a playlist, its title, description, cover, song list and your curator name and handle become public at trykinds.app and can be shared by anyone. You are responsible for what you publish. You must not publish anything hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, illegal or that infringes others’ rights, or impersonate someone else. KINDS has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
Anyone can report a public playlist. Reported content is hidden automatically after several reports and reviewed by us, usually within 24 hours. We may remove content and ban curators who break these rules, without notice. You can unpublish your own playlists at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse KINDS. That includes interfering with the service, using it to break a music service's terms, or reverse-engineering it to get around limits.
Availability and changes
We work to keep KINDS available but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted. Music services can change their APIs, which may affect features. We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update the date above.
Disclaimer and liability
KINDS is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY], without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
